At Photonics21 panel discussion, final remarks. Lutz Aschke answer to the question of what competitive advantage brings photonics was just great. Paraphrasing the answer, comes to say that competitiveness is brought by very hard work, and photonics is full of very hard working people who are also very resilient. Working to keep one of Europe’s jewels shining!

It is not surprising that in the transition from an industrial society with its characteristic huge expenditure of energy, capital and labor to a society with highly developed technology, for which the critical resources are information and technological innovation, new scientific models of the world inevitably emerge (Isabelle Stengers).

Tonight, we are hosting our Asia Society Switzerland Oxford Debate LIVE on whether Asia's Rise Will Lead to a New World Order, featuring Abigaël VASSELIER, Julia Ganter, John Lee, and John Delury. Putting together such an event takes a lot of time and effort - because we don't just host a public debate, but organize many other activities with our speakers, from an invite-only Executive Roundtable on semiconductors, to a conversation on the Korean Peninsula with our Gen A Young Leaders. There are also 4 media interviews, and side meetings with University of Zurich, Swissmem, Center for Security Studies (CSS) at ETH Zurich, and others. It runs to over 100 entries and can be filtered by location, category, and - most importantly - responsibility, so every team member can generate their personalized rundown.
