🌈 Linked2Brands Colour Week – What brings colour to your life? Ours is a colourful world. Everyone sees it differently – so "colour" can mean something different to everyone. We wanted to hear about the experiences of Linked2Brands staff: What brings colour to your life, Thuan Vu? "Brown-Calming Vibe! Life is a mosaic of diverse shades, a mix of both vibrant and deeper tones. If I have to make a choice about what colour speaks to me, I would lean towards the brown hue, which gives me a calming sensation that I crave every day. While I enjoy reading and immersing myself in fantastical worlds, whether through video games or fictional books full of vibrant colors, Yet, I find my true comfort in the simplicity of brown tones. Brown as a colour isn't flashy or bold; it's the quiet that brings stability and calmness to me. The warming feeling that brown tint brings to me is like a whisper telling me, “You are doing alright; you are ok; everything will be ok." It's like a blanket, offering me a sense of security and peace amidst the hustle and bustle of life. When things get overwhelming, I tend to head to a coffee shop alone. The cosy brown tones and the rich scent of brewed coffee instantly make me feel relaxed. Surrounded by the soothing atmosphere, I find my calmness here. It's my go-to place to ground myself and find peace." #inspiration #colour #linked2brands

Today's conversation about #personalbranding is about endings. There is a lot to still talk about around first impressions, but let's focus on endings today as these form a HUGE part of your #personalbranding. As sad as these things are, we all have to leave a company at some point. This may be because our task there has come to its natural end or we often see personal growth outside of our existing role. I remember each of my "endings" as being very sad. I put my all into my roles and become personally attached to far too much! I embrace the brand of each company with purpose and passion and that emotional connection stays with me forever. I choose the brands I associate with with great care and they become part of my DNA. So when you leave a brand there are always those that understand the context but more often than not there are those who experience their own form of "schadenfreude" which is a great word for describing the joy that others perceive as a result of your perceived misery. In most organisations people rumour monger and create their own narratives for why you have left instead of just taking the situation at face value. There is very little that can be done to work with those situations and the purpose of this post is to deal with how YOU work with the situation so as to safeguard YOUR brand. The first and only approach is to ignore the noise. To rise above it - and stay true to your ethos and values. This has always worked well for me and I am proud to stay that I have relationships that go back 43 years as a result. Take time today to reflect on how your endings will look and have looked and make the change. Wishing you as always well on your #personalbranding journey! Enjoy this pic of me at one of my farewells - the room was beautifully decorated with all things French and spot the orchid behind me - as you all know that environment is "me in a nutshell or rather a macaroon". The notes I used were in a folder the colour (green for growth) of which was at the centre of that brand's identity and signify the thanks I felt and showed.

There is a cup in the office that stands out among others. It’s green and looks like a ball. Its allure lies not just in the aesthetic appeal but in the experience it delivers. Sipping coffee from it feels different, tastes better, and turns an ordinary moment into a special one. It’s unclear who the owner is or how it appeared, but both women and men love it. The cup has become a conversation starter more than once, with comments ranging from “I love your cup!” to “Oh, it’s you who took it!” Not everyone can have the privilege of starting their day with this cup because it’s only one. Still, each of us has a chance to experience its charm. This seemingly ordinary object, through the behaviors it elicits, reminds that: - Being different for the sake of it isn't enough; differentiation must come from aspects that are meaningful to customers. - Just because everyone can access a product doesn’t diminish its value; the shared joy it fosters can amplify it. - Exclusivity can increase perceived value, not by making a product inaccessible but by creating a sense of privilege around the experience of using it. - Maintaining a bit of mystery around a product invites the audience to engage, keep the conversation alive and become part of the story. - It takes one happy customer to start the chain of word of mouth. Keep delivering on the promises.

The Power of Genuine Testimonials: Why Authenticity Matters in Branding Ever noticed those 'happy customers' with stock photos? Let's talk about why authenticity trumps staged smiles in branding. ✅ Branding Red Flag: If a company's testimonial section features stock images, trust may be at stake. Authenticity should never be compromised in branding. ✅ Authentic Connection: Genuine testimonials humanize a brand, fostering real connections with customers. Say no to stock photos; showcase real faces and voices. ✅ Building Credibility: Consumers are discerning; a testimonial section with stock images signals a lack of authenticity. Invest in real relationships for lasting credibility. ✅ Crafting Trust: Brands that value transparency and openness build trust. Encourage authentic testimonials, share real stories, and let the genuine narrative shine through. ✅ Food for thought: The next time you spot stock images in testimonials, question the brand's credibility. Authenticity is the cornerstone of lasting trust. In a world filled with staged images, the authenticity of genuine testimonials stands as the beacon of trust. Choose brands that keep it real. #AuthenticBranding #TrustMatters #ecommercebranding #ecommercebusiness #d2cbrands

Showing up consistently is not easy. That's understandable. Though we all want to show up consistently, but it also matters how we show up. Our desires for showing up should not outweigh the purpose for showing up. This is because how we show up forms our personal branding. I found out that, it's purpose and discipline that keeps us consistent, not necessarily the desire to be consistent. It could be a little hard but the effort is worth it. It's a new week. You can create your possibilities🤗. It's all yours to do. Cheers to another fruitful week of productivity and consistency. #growth #consistency
