💻 A Quick Lesson on Risk Matrix 💻 When I first heard the term “Risk Matrix”, my first thought was of Morpheus and Neo jumping off buildings and dodging bullets. Turns out, it refered to an entirely different type of risk, and definitely a different Matrix! A Risk Matrix is a visual tool used for managing risk in cybersecurity. It helps organizations assess and prioritize risks based on their likelihood and their impact. Also referred to as probability and severity. The matrix typically uses colors and a grid to categorize risks, which makes it easier to identify which risks need immediate attention and which ones can be dealt with at a later date. It's a strategic tool. What are Human Risk Strategic Metrics? Strategic metrics provide insights into how your security awareness efforts are reducing overall risk, these are the metrics leadership ultimately care about. These go beyond measuring just change in behavior and instead measure if / how you are reducing overall risk. One example would be attacker dwell time.
