When I begin working for the company, I always prepare and present a marketing strategy with a specific budget. Only when the budget is approved, I can implement all the planned activities. But there are a lot of cases when the company wants to participate in other marketing and PR activities that go beyond my budget. My main question after I hear something like that is, “How many clients do you want to bring in if you spend X dollars?” Because I always keep ROI in mind, and when I have X dollars as an annual budget, I plan to bring in Y clients. Otherwise, I can’t let myself be a marketing manager 📈 In my opinion, every dollar should work toward a company's growth. Of course, there are marketing activities that work specifically for brand awareness, but there should be a good percentage of others that will increase revenue. P.S. I will keep posting pictures from Seoul (even if my post doesn’t relate to it), because I have too many of them and can’t stop myself from sharing 😅

I often get asked from my friends, “𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴?” or “𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗲𝘅𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼?" Well, I heard this analogy the other day and it was too good not to share... 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴? If the circus is coming to town and you put up a sign, that’s 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴. If you put the sign on the back of an elephant, that’s 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. If the elephant walks through the nearest flower bed and the local newspaper writes a story about it, that’s 𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆. And if you can get the Mayor to laugh about it, that's 𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀. If you tell them about the various booths you will have, the fun they will have, and answer all their questions, that’s 𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀. If you planned the whole shebang, that’s 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴. --- It involves the comprehensive planning and execution of various elements to achieve a specific goal. Just like a well-run circus, marketing blends creativity, strategy, and execution to captivate audiences and leave a lasting impression. All the working parts sometimes go unnoticed, but they are all valuable and can make the difference in a packed stadium full of cheer or a silent arena. It's the planning, the coordination, and the dedication behind the scenes that transforms spectators into enthusiastic fans and loyal advocates.
