I'm beyond excited about Beyond Meat's new Beyond IV product. As a long-time plant-based nutritionist and athlete, I care deeply about feeding my family healthy plant-based food made with natural ingredients. To be honest, I rarely bought Beyond Meat's previous products because, although plant-based and more environmentally friendly than beef, they still contained too much sodium, saturated fat, and artificial ingredients for my liking. But with Beyond IV, they've truly raised the bar on plant-based meats. Here are some highlights: ◉ Simplified ingredient list ◉ Made with avocado oil (reduces saturated fat content by 60% to just 2g per serving) ◉ 20% less sodium than previous version ◉ 21 grams of plant protein per serving made from peas, brown rice, red lentils, and faba beans ◉ A meatier flavor and texture for those wanting to satisfy their meat-tooth while reducing their carbon footprint Can't wait for this to eventually come to Canada so I can stock up. The cookbook, a part of ProSoil's mission, illustrates the real impact of agroecological practices on smallholder farmers – and our plates! European Union

As a nutritionist, I realized that healthy nutrition is not only about what food we eat, but also about the soil in which that food grows. Healthy soil can lead to healthy food and healthy food can lead to a healthy society. It is empowering to know that there are advocates for this elsewhere in the world. I loved the name " SOLICOUS" come from Soul and soil. Thanks for people who think this and ProSOIL Program, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH to implement, Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and @European Union to fund.  The document says that the health of the soil can be preserved with the basics of ecological agriculture.   A quote from document: “Healthy soil provides nutritious foods and more stable yields as well as clean water and fresh air to breathe, allowing not only humankind but animals and plants to live healthy lives. Agroecology is key to building resilience against current crises . It contributes to the much-needed transformation of agricultural and food systems and follows a holistic and socio-ecological approach going far beyond conventional agricultural practices. Building resilience also requires looking at those most affected by degraded soils, like women. Women make a significant contribution to the livelihoods and food security of their families. Addressing specifically women is therefore key for the transition to sustainable agricultural and food systems.” Even if we are in completely different parts of the world, it is empowering to defend the same idea.Happily for me and my team, I am Head of Project based on agroecology and with this project, we are establishing an ecological agriculture center in Mardin, providing financial and technical support to farmers, cooperatives and women's initiatives who want to practice ecological agriculture, and providing trainings based on agricultural methods in harmony with nature. Thanks to Development Foundation of Turkey (DFT), Welthungerhilfe (WHH) and Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).

Speaking about measuring regenerative outcomes…. Where does your beef come from? All cattle, grain or grass finished, spend most of their life on grass. Most beef comes from cow calf operations that operate on pasture land and sell caves into feedlots for finsihing on grain the last few months of their lives. Regardless of if you prefer grain or grass finished beef the pasture management practices while to cattle are on grass most of their lives makes a big difference when it comes to land outcomes. Of the 900M acres of agricultural production roughly 2/3 is pasture land raising animals. It matters. Ranches managed with holistically or adaptive planned grazing have higher carbon storage, water capture, soil health, biodiversity above and below ground because they are mimicking natures grazing patterns. So, where does your beef come from? 🙋🏻♀️I get all of my meat(beef, chicken, and pork) from REP Provisions. I’ve been to the ranch and it’s buzzing with life…in a Alice in Wonder Land sort of way. You feel your place in the ecosystem, and feel so small relative to all the abundance. Everything is so alive. They also measure ecosystems and soil health outcomes every year to make sure their management practices are improving things like soil carbon, water infiltration, biodiversity, and soil erosion. All of their ranches must meet these standards every year. You want to talk about carbon storage.. perennial ecosystems can STORE carbon. Many other things I love about REP(Regenerate, Energize, Preserve). On the practical side they ship all over the country on dry ice with included returnable insulated boxes. I always hated food shipments because of the waste. They got creative with that and it makes me feel so good to ship the box back to them instead of throwing or recycling packaging. Looping in the human health element for my fellow nutrition nerds…their beef has the same omega 3:6 ratio to that of salmon! All the claims about beef being inflammatory can pack sand when it comes to this holistically managed beef. 😉 Most beef at the market averages 1:10 omega 3:6.
