When I took this position back in January, I never imagined the variety of challenges we would see coming from our industry partners... underwater robotics, responsible AI, wildfire fuel sensing, health detection devices, renewable energy management, augmented wayfinding, food banking solutions and tech-enhanced farming. The list is impressive, and ideas are still coming in! In the final week of recruitment, we're narrowing our focus to solicit challenges in ROBOTICS. Why? Because the GIX robotics curriculum teaches our students how to bridge business principles, human-centered design, and robotics fundamentals like navigation, manipulation, and mobility to pursue careers in product management, design, validation, and testing. It was such a pleasure to visit Pace University and chat with Bradford about their Zoom Hyflex classroom standard enabling students to join the lectures online and get a seamless learning experience using technology like Catchbox Plus. Catchbox Clip and Cube mics are used by professors and students to capture crisp audio from the in-class lecture to the remote students attending online. Some key insights: 💡 Standardizing technology across classrooms allows professors and students to use the tech effectively ensuring a predictable experience at the beginning of each class. 💡 It is important to be able to capture the intended student that is speaking without capturing the whole classroom's audio or having to mic up every student before class. 💡 Ensuring a smooth user experience with technology is vital for everyday teaching and learning. INTRODUCING OUR FIRST EVENT About Event: It is a knowledge-based contest focusing on technical and general awareness. Rules: ● Only team entries are allowed, and team shall consist of two persons. ● The decision of the quiz-master will be final and will not be subjected to any change. ● The participants shall not be allowed to use mobile or other electronic instruments during the quiz time. ● Replacement of any participant of a team is not allowed after registration. ● There will be two rounds in the quiz competition o Preliminary round or elimination round. o Final round or stage round ● Preliminary round: Each team will be given a set of question paper containing 25 multiple choice objective type questions.
