Kai Tak Sports Park is unveiling another milestone at the cutting-edge 5,000-seat Kai Tak Youth Sports Ground in Hong Kong with the installation of the ground's state-of-the-art "Lay and Play" turf. The "Lay and Play" technology involves the installation of mature, pre-grown turf directly onto the prepared soil, creating a lush, green sports surface. This process began with the cultivation of the turf in a dedicated nursery site located in Zhuhai, China. The turf is a hybrid blend of natural grass and artificial grass fibres, reinforced by a "Carpet hybrid" root-zone system. After 10-12 weeks of being carefully nurtured, the turf was harvested into rolls and immediately transported to Hong Kong for installation. It is truly remarkable to watch! With this milestone accomplished, the entire Kai Tak Sports Park project has now entered its final construction phase paving the way for a grand opening in 2025.

The venue hosted the second show of its inaugural season, Chris Stapleton, this past week. "Thunder Ridge Nature Arena has two major features that significantly differentiate it from not only other venues in its immediate market but from most other venues in the world: the venue’s remarkable setting and matching fan/artist experiences, which are not like anything else on earth."

It was a historic night at KFC Yum! Center on June 8 as the venue hosted the highest-grossing US Ultimate Fighting Championship Fight Night of all time as well as the highest-grossing single-day sporting event in KFC Yum! Center history. It's the hard work and dedication of each of our team members that allows us to surpass expectations for fans and event organizers alike. Congrats to the entire team in Louisville for raising the bar high!
