#asml has taken orders for 10 to 20 of its next-generation, US$350 million High NA #euv lithography machines so far, including from SK Hynix and Micron Chip toolmaking titan ASML recently announced its readiness to ramp up production of its groundbreaking $350 million “High NA EUV” machine, a device pivotal to maintaining its leadership in the $125 billion semiconductor market. Unveiled at ASML’s Dutch headquarters, the device, comparable in size to a double-decker bus, is poised to revolutionize the production of high-end semiconductors, targeting industry giants like Intel and other leading chip manufacturers. With between 10 and 20 orders already secured, including pilot devices for industry heavyweights such as #skhynix and #Micron, ASML is gearing up to deliver 20 machines annually by 2028. Notably, none of these machines will be destined for #China, the second-largest market for ASML last year, as the United States tightens controls on cutting-edge technology exports to thwart Beijing’s semiconductor ambitions. However lot of these orders may or may not materialise based on industry conditions and environment. Shear size of backlog will be in tune of $4Bil to $8Bil +/- error The swift adoption of the High NA machine holds the potential to significantly bolster ASML’s sales and margins while further solidifying its dominant position in the lithography systems market. These systems utilize light to intricately trace patterns on silicon wafers, laying the groundwork for the development of advanced computer chip circuitry. In the competitive landscape, ASML faces off against Japanese counterparts Nikon and Canon in the production of lithography machines catering to relatively older generations of chips. The High NA machine introduces a groundbreaking advancement with its larger optical system, featuring irregularly shaped mirrors crafted by Carl Zeiss. These mirrors, polished to impeccable smoothness and maintained in a vacuum environment, enhance light collection and focus, resulting in superior resolution – a hallmark of the High NA machine. U.S. export controls included in the October 17, 2023 update now include restrictions on ASML's Twinscan 19XX series of immersion lithography equipment, which TSMC used for some critical layers at 7 nanometers before it had access to EUV systems. SMIC did the same thing with these and more advanced ASML systems in 2022 and 2023, which in part triggered the U.S. decision to raise end-use controls to 16/14 nanometers in the October 2022 controls. SMIC almost certainly has a large number of ASML DUV tools, including the advanced Twinscan:2050i. In mid-2023, SMIC asked ASML to speed up 2050i deliveries. At the same time, there have been reports that SMEE had developed a domestic DUV system to replace the sanctioned models, at the end of 2023, although this has not been confirmed.

This machine is designed to make even smaller and faster computer chips than what is currently possible. The new machine is faster and more precise than previous models. Did you Know Netherlands Tech Firm ASML Holding is the only company in the world who builts extreme ultraviolet lithography (EUV) photolithography machines that are required to manufacture the most advanced chips. All Semiconductor Fabs such as TSMC uses ASMLs lithography systems. There machines were using for fabricate 3nm Chips. Their under development EXE systems can fabricate future advanced nodes, starting at the 2 nm Logic node and followed by Memory nodes at a similar density. There are 5-6 companies can develop Jet Engines, only ASML able to manufacture 2nm lithography. Apart from Super Computing Mission, Quantum Mission, AI Mission, India should follow a CNC, Lithography road map & mission. ASML recently shipped a giant high-NA EUV lithography machine, the Twinscan EXE:5000, to Intel for research and development purposes. This machine is crucial for producing next-generation chips with smaller transistors and higher density.
