I have been in situations when time truly does not matter and you get up and do what needs to be done. But with this comes balance. I often tell the story of Spitfires at the end of World War 2 and the advent of Jet enghines. So you have a superb fighting machine but it can not compete with the potential of what a jet engine could do. So you go to your tool box and realise that you can use Nitrous Oxide. Remember Dukes of Hazard. The difference is that with Dukes of Hazard this was used as a power boost. A somewhat very short term injection of speed. Now what they did with Spitfires was not an injection of speed for a short period of time but on all the time once airborne. So you then have a Spitfire that can do close to Jet enghine speed for sustained periods normally one or perhaps two flights. Then you have to throw away the engine and put a new one in after one flight. So this was not sustainable as an option because you simply could not build engines quick enough and you end up with a single use plane. So you might as well call it a manned missile. It is ok to use time as a resource like this but you can not and should not sustain it for more than one or two flights as you will burnout.
