Start with remixes to gain exposure and build a fan base quickly. As you gain experience, shift focus towards creating original tracks to develop your unique sound and establish your identity as an artist. Continuously releasing both remixes and originals can keep your content diverse and engaging, opening up various opportunities for growth and collaborations. Original tracks will give you creative freedom, strong brand identity, and full ownership but it consumes time and has a higher risk Remixes will give you greater exposure, excellent for networking, and valuable learning experience but it has creative limitations

I had a great discussion with a rising star in the bass house genre, but we couldn't reach an agreement on this topic: While you're building your persona and producing your tracks, is it better to release remixes or stick to originals? While both are valid options, I find the remix option a bit lazy. We all know how hard it is to sit down and create a new track from scratch. Instead of doing that, taking another artist's track and dressing it with your style feels like "the easy way." However, having a remix that showcases your abilities is great for sending to other artists for collaborations. It makes it easier for them to accept you with a familiar sound. But I am really interested in hearing your input on this. What would you recommend for an upcoming artist? Should they focus on creating their own music or stick with remixes for now?
