Are you after a magic pill or in it for the long haul with your health and fitness? Everywhere we look, we’re tempted by pills, shakes and fancy diets, videos for 6 pack abs in 4 weeks or other kind of rapid results fitness programs but do you really want fast results versus creating a life where you can get far better, and more rewarding results over the long term? It’s been said that the difference between the world’s leading athletes and the rest of us is their willingness to tolerate the mundane. It’s not all about the fancy diet, the hardest, most instagramable workout. It’s the little things you do each and every day that produce the greatest results. This morning, I tried a different hill to run up and down. It wasn’t about running hard, it was about focusing on the way I was running in order to train my body to be able to run that way more often, and specifically, over 26.2 miles in May. It’s not about building speed, it’s about building efficiency so that I can run quicker and without using greater effort 😀 That’s the way I view fitness. It’s about improving your body’s ability to move so you can do the things you want to do more efficiently and feel like you can do even more. And you can 😊
