When I travel, I used to score the hotel shower. I would rate the power of the flow, the consistency and control of the temperature, the size and leak proofing of the cubicle. They didn't vary that much When I found a shower which I could turn on without getting wet, I realised it was the things I hadn't considered that stood out. The same is true when comparing products. This was clearly reflected looking at ITSM solutions at SITS this week. Ticking the AI box did not distinguish anyone. It was what was done with that AI that mattered. For example, most vendors have a co-pilot but few showed them being used by the support desk as well as the end users My photo illustrates what happens if you fail to consider all customers when designing these features. Clearing the steam from an area of the bathroom mirror can be a great feature but not when the area is too high for many users.
