Another Brand rejects the idea of moving to an agency sales model according to Car Dealer Magazine, this time, it's Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd The article says: "Aston Martin remains committed to the traditional dealer model as a switch to an agency setup would effectively turn sites into ‘prep centres’. That’s according to Alex Long, the firm’s director of product and strategy." I wonder what this means for other brands and their future sales model plans? (NYSE: FSR) (“Fisker”), driven by a mission to create the world’s most emotional and sustainable electric vehicles, announced today it has signed two new dealer partners in the US. Dealers joining the Dealer Partnership program are Bul Auto Sales, which plans to open Fisker Albany in New York state and Fisker Jacksonville in Florida; and Karma Indy, which intends to open Fisker Indianapolis in Indiana. “It’s great to see high-quality dealers continuing to come on board” Chairman and CEO Henrik Fisker said. “Our entire team is excited when we hear how confident our dealers are in terms of sales, thanks to the competitive nature of the Fisker Ocean and its class leading features.” Fisker has now signed 12 dealer partners in the US and Europe. On January 4, 2024, Fisker announced that it would engage in a strategic shift from direct sales to customers in North America to an innovative Dealer Partnership model. Toyota to offer promotional parts pricing to shops, hopes to boost use of Genuine parts Toyota Motor North America has partnered with CCC Promote to offer promotional and discounted pricing on Genuine Toyota parts to parts dealers and shops. The move aims to encourage the use of OE parts, as aftermarket parts often do not meet the standards of fit, impact force absorption, and occupant protection recommended by automakers. By using CCC Promote, Toyota dealers will be able to reach a larger number of shops and be more competitive in the wholesale collision parts market. The promotional parts prices will be available to all shops on CCC ONE that transact with Toyota and Lexus dealers, and the prices go live today on August 1. Toyota hopes that by offering lower prices on OEM parts, more shops will choose to use Genuine Toyota parts, benefiting customers by ensuring the use of high-quality parts for their vehicles. The use of CCC Promote eliminates the need for shops to make phone calls or use additional systems to determine if there is a manufacturer-supported promotional price available for the parts they need. CCC Promote has been in place for several years and is used by auto manufacturers and dealers to present their parts inventories to shops that use CCC ONE for estimates.
