Abstract Overview: The paper focuses on the Electric-Hydraulic Hybrid Power Steering (E-HHPS) system, a novel technology designed for commercial electric vehicles. This cutting-edge system aims to achieve superior steering feel and high energy efficiency. However, the transition between electric and hydraulic modes often leads to inconsistent steering performance, posing a potential risk to driving safety. To address this issue, the authors propose a new mode-switching strategy coupled with a dynamic compensation control method. This approach not only ensures a natural and consistent steering feel across different driving modes but also minimizes energy consumption. Furthermore, the paper delves into the impact of disturbances on system stability, employing an H∞ robust controller to maintain system robustness and stability.
