The 15th AUTOSAR Open Conference recently concluded in Tokyo, Japan, bringing member organizations of the consortium together from across the globe. With the mobility industry racing headfirst towards a software-defined future, the conference motto was ‘Global software solutions for future mobility challenges.’ As a longstanding member of the AUTOSAR Consortium, KPIT Technologies was delighted to present its perspective on AUTOSAR in the context of SDVs. KPIT expert Krishna Murthy H discussed the Ease of Software Integration and Interoperability with AUTOSAR, while Irappa Koli and Constantin Groelle spoke about Converging AUTOSAR Adaptive and AAOS in Coexistence. Hello guys 👋 . I'm here today to talk quickly about the importance of AUTOSAR in world of automotive. so this picture clearly shows the difference between a non-autosar and an autosar based applications. without AUTOSAR BSW the software is written for a specific hardware which makes a tight bonding between software and hardware leading to many disadvantages with respect to the portability of this software and redeveloping the software for any change in this specific hardware which leads to more development time for any project that affects both sides, customer and supplier. but with the standard software architecture aimed and achieved by AUTOSAR it leads to: 1- Easy handling: handling increased complexity of automotive software. 2- Abstraction: abstraction of hardware from software making development more flexible. 3- Fast to market: Establish development distribution among suppliers leading to parallel development. #autosar #automotive #embeddedsystems

🆕 PREEvision 10.13 The new release supports the latest AUTOSAR version 23-11 for AUTOSAR Classic and AUTOSAR Adaptive. This means that PREEvision users will be able to work with the latest AUTOSAR version six months after its release. And with the flexibility they need: Anyone who wants to continue working with AUTOSAR 20-11 for AUTOSAR Adaptive can still import and export the corresponding files, although this version is not compatible with the newer versions 23-11, 22-11 and 21-11. This is going to be a fascinating talk. The overheads of AUTOSAR aren’t apparent until someone - or something - takes a close look. Only then can the impact of a specific configuration be seen. The insights from this can potentially lead to huge savings in RAM and CPU time, and make the difference between a system fitting into the hardware or not.
