A random gym encounter flipped my world.   In May, I felt lost, unsure of my direction in life.   That’s when I bumped into Roei Samuel at the gym.   I'd been connected to Roei on LinkedIn for years. But we'd never actually met.   ↳ I had no idea meeting him would change my life. 😲   Roei invited me to his office. He shared many gems:   🔙 Work backwards. Ask yourself what you truly want. 💭 Think about which path would make you happiest. 💡 Delegate and hire people 10X better than you.   But what meant the most was his blind faith in me.   His exact words were:   → “Mate, you’re gonna kill it whatever you do, 100%!” → “You’ve got the right mentality.”   Roei believed in me when it really mattered.   He continues to be an incredible friend and mentor.   My point is this:   If, like me, you find yourself unsure of your direction...   Never underestimate the value of a supportive mentor.   ----------------   ♻ Repost to inspire tomorrow’s entrepreneurs

I thought an Econ degree would secure my future. Big mistake. Here’s why I’d avoid this path: 1️⃣ Outdated Theory 📚
→ Econ covers lots of complex topics. → Examples: econometrics and Pareto efficiency. → None of it applies to the real world. 2️⃣ No Skin in the Game 🔨
→ Econ didn’t teach me how to start a business. → Entrepreneurs learn by failing. → Not by memorising lectures. Uni is fun, but mostly, a waste of time. Success = earned through real-world experience.

Trying to 'do it all' is the same as doing nothing. 👇 In 2021, I juggled 7 different projects: a tech business, events business, Clubhouse group, local charity, vaccine group, Avi TV, and a motivational Insta page. Oh yeah, and this was all while working full-time at Barclays Bank (wfh was a cheat code lol). Fast forward three years and 6/7 of these failed! Scattered focus led to rubbish results. Here’s how to avoid my mistake: 1️⃣ Choose One Thing 📌
→ Just pick something and go all-in.
→ Mastery ≠ being good at everything. 2️⃣ Take Daily Action 🔨
→ Consistency > talent.
→ Make progress every single day. 3️⃣ Think Big 🪂
→ Small dreams lead to small results.
→ Huge goals are easier (less competition). The world doesn’t reward mediocre people. What’s your next move?

Life is so short. You get 4,000 weeks if you're lucky. Ask yourself what rubbish things you spend your time on. You probably already know the answer: pointless arguments, unnecessary meetings, traffic jams. Some rubbish is forced on you, but the rubbish you choose to accept is your fault. The rubbish you choose may be harder to eliminate as it's good at tricking you. For example, arguing online feels productive but isn't worth your time. It's usually better to not defend yourself. Otherwise these people are wasting your life. Avoid rubbish and seek out things that matter. Different things matter to different people, and most learn gradually what matters to them. A few are lucky and realise early on that they love business or caring for animals, and find a way to spend lots of time doing it. The things that matter aren't necessarily what people call "important." Having coffee with a friend matters. You won't feel later like that was a waste of time. Life's shortness will take you by surprise. You think you can always write that book or climb that mountain, and then you suddenly realise the window has closed. Don't wait to do things that matter. Relentlessly eliminate the rubbish. Start that business. Apply for that job. Book that flight. Because life is so short.

London feels almost irrelevant now. Canada is on another level. “Everything is bigger in America,” they say. 🇺🇸 When I’m here, I feel inspired to dream bigger. In London, we might be playing it small. 🤯 Here are some crazy stats: → Canada’s landmass is 41 times larger than the UK’s. → UK: 279 people/km². Canada: just 4 people/km². → UK population: 67 million. Canada: 38 million. Where should you live to maximise success?

I discovered this the hard way.👇 Be in rooms where you're the least capable. ❌ It’s not a blow to your ego. ✅ It's a ladder to your success. As Jim Rohn once said: "You are the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with." So if your circle consists of 5 procrastinators… → You’ll likely become number 6. And there's real data behind this. A Harvard study found that you're 95% more likely to be successful if you have successful friends. Just like with money, the more you invest in high-value relationships, the greater the returns over time. 📈 Start with your current circle. Who challenges you? Who lifts you up? → Spend more time with them intentionally. Your future is shaped by those you keep close.

Experts predict clubs will be extinct by 2030. I remember the wild nights at Rock City in Nottingham. Tickets sold out in seconds, so I teamed up with a Computer Science student, spent my entire student loan on £6 tickets, and resold them for £30-£40 each. This taught me a lot about pricing and negotiation. 🤝 Today’s students prefer house parties > clubbing. I quit alcohol last year and admire their healthier choices. But come on, nothing beats a Weds night at Rock City! 🤯 Here are some crazy stats: → The UK is losing 5 nightclubs per week in 2024. → 39% of 18-24 year olds don’t drink alcohol at all. → UK's non-alcoholic drinks market grows 1.5% / year. What could save UK nightclubs from extinction?
