It's interesting to see AI start to get integrated into hardware as a "core" feature. We've seen lots of AI software popping up like ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, etc. but I think we'll start to see a more tight coupling between hardware design and AI soon! I'm curious to see how this will play out in mobile devices. Will our existing smartphone hardware change to incorporate AI in some way, or will there be a shift toward alternative devices like the Rabbit R1 or Humane AI Pin? Maybe we're on the cusp of another iPhone moment? What do you think? #ai #llm #hardware

Apple took the first steps to bring the ARM architecture to the desktop. Now Microsoft is pushing this further and combining on-device NPU’s designed to accelerate AI workloads. But it is not just ARM that will benefit, this same tech is coping to AMD & Intel CPU’s. There are few moments in computing history that transform how we work & play. #AI is a tectonic shift. And it’s accelerating faster than anyone can comprehend. ChatGPT launched in November 2022. It changed how we interact with these LLM-based AI systems. Now, less than 18 months later, we have #AI specific hardware being announced. 🤯

The next era of personal computing is here! It’s going to be inteeestig to see in practice how the local SLM and cloud hosted LLM work and evolve over time.
