Sustainability with Corrugated Packaging! 📦 Opt for corrugated packaging! 🌿 With its sturdy construction and eco-friendly nature, corrugated boxes are leading the way in sustainable packaging solutions. Did you know that corrugated packaging is not only durable but also easily recyclable? ♻️ Once used, these boxes can be collected and processed through global recycling networks, where they're transformed into valuable raw materials for new products or packaging materials. This closed-loop system helps reduce waste, conserve resources, and minimize environmental impact. From local recycling centers to large-scale operations, dedicated facilities and initiatives across continents ensure the efficient collection and processing of used cardboard. 🔄 Innovations in recycling technology, such as improved sorting systems and innovative pulping techniques, further enhance the sustainability of corrugated packaging. But our journey towards sustainability doesn't end there! Challenges like contamination and logistical constraints persist, underscoring the importance of collaborative efforts from stakeholders across the value chain. 🤝 Education and awareness initiatives play a vital role in promoting responsible consumer behavior and fostering a culture of recycling. 🌱💚 #Sustainability #CorrugatedPackaging #RecyclingRevolution #GoGreen #EnvironmentalAwareness

💡💡Thoughtful Thursdays💡💡As a sustainable plastics manufacturing business, we're committed to crafting eco-friendly solutions with every product we create. That's why we prioritize product designs that maximize functionality while minimizing waste. Well-designed products require less plastic to begin with. And thoughtfully chosen raw materials increase the odds of products being recycled down the road. These are just a few of the ways that designing with sustainability in mind can create a more circular economy and reduce our environmental impact. Join us in our mission to make sustainable product design the new norm! #SustainableProductDesign #CircularEconomy #WasteReduction #DesignForSustainability #EcoFriendlyPlastic #InjectionMolding #ChooseToReuse #NoMorePlasticWaste #LaFlesche #IndigenousBusines #Mohawk #ReduceReuseRecycle #RobynneRaye

𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗯𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗧𝗿𝗶𝘂𝗺𝗽𝗵𝘀 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝘆𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗼𝗮𝗺 𝗶𝗻 𝗙𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗣𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 Ferdinand Bierbichler GmbH & Co. KG asked our Circular Innovation team to transform their fish packaging. The set goals were ambitious: reducing volume and the CO2 footprint, optimizing recyclability, and achieving cost savings. The solution? A space-saving corrugated carton made from virgin fibers with a water-based barrier coating. This packaging is not only suitable for direct food contact but also grease-resistant and entirely recyclable as waste paper. The achieved results speak for themselves: 📦 The empty pack volume was reduced by an astonishing 92%, and the filled volume by 53%. 🌍 The CO2 footprint of the material was impressively reduced by 60%. 💰 Packaging costs were significantly lowered by 50%. Developing such sustainable packaging solutions was undoubtedly a challenge. It required not only in-depth client product knowledge but also specialized expertise in food regulation and materials, along with extensive independent testing. If you're wondering how sustainable packaging solutions could look for your product, we invite you to explore our "Now & Next" solutions. These offer a range of benefits, illustrating how innovation and environmental consciousness can go hand in hand. https://lnkd.in/d9xfsiuv #sustainablepackaging #packaging #recycling #pioneersinpackaging

The packaging industry plays a crucial role in our modern economy, as it ensures products are protected during transit, informs consumers about the contents, and often serves as a marketing tool. However, the environmental impact of packaging has raised significant concerns, leading to a growing interest in sustainability within this industry. Today we are shining the SME spotlight today on ALVAboard, who offseted 10 tones of CO2e. ALVAboard's packaging products are crafted from recycled plastic, embodying the principles of sustainable goods and a circular economy. 📦🌱 #SMEhighlight #CarbonOffset

The message ‘plastics are the trickiest packaging material of all to get right…there is no single approach that works everywhere’ in this article is right on the mark. One area of the supply chain that can benefit from light-weighting practices is the end-of-line. A technology exists that reduces the amount of packaging needed to properly contain product on a pallet while increasing load containment. Less can really be more. Check us out. #sustainablepackaging #zero waste https://lnkd.in/eEGCYWP8

Day Two at Packaging Innovations & Empack and it is striking how the focus is discussion on #recycling but almost no dialogue on #reduction or #removal. Taghleef Industries shared statistics 📈 on the continued very high growth in plastic and flexible packaging. Despite the claims by so many exhibitors that their ‘new’ packaging is recycled only 10% is recycled globally. Contrast this with the 49% that ends up in landfill and, more worrying 22% which “evades waste mananahement”; polite words for waste, environmental contamination of our lands, wildlife and oceans. The picture is very different globally but the statistics 📊 highlight not only the need for greater #circularity but a focus on LESS. The most efficient packaging is zero packaging. And whilst it is great to see the #plastics industry promoting a range of lower weight films/packs, this cannot detract from the “leakage” of plastics into the environment.

Thanks for sharing James Butcher and Mr Zampe Mandibole for the mention, greatly appreciated! #recycle is 60 years old, only at 8% efficient, does NOT work. Save Our Planet Refillery transforming distribution, new infrastructure with tech to remove packaging, igniting wholesale refill revolution with brand name products, addressing global plastic waste crisis at the source! #lean #wastereduction #costreduction #timereduction #redesignfailedstatusquo #newprocessarchitecture

CEO & Founder | Ocean Ambassador | Business Innovator | Circular Plastic Use | UN Advisor on Global Plastics Treaty
Open your eyes There’s more to it than meets the eye - this is also true when you look at products displayed in store for you. The industrial & transport packaging used to get it there is often out-of-sight, out-of-mind. Yet this type of packaging is an ideal fit for a circular business model! So instead of looking at material substitution, let’s look at overall resource use reduction! Reduce & reuse don’t only save resources and CO2, but also provide economic benefits! Especially as all signs are pointing towards #MakeThrowAwayGoAway for Global / European / national legislation. So let’s get ahead of the game and start reaping those benefits already! Let me know what transport packaging you would like to start off with. #packaging #reuse #plastics #circulareconomy
