When something bothers you, taking a moment to gain perspective is important. Ask yourself: “Will this really matter a year from now? Will it matter next month, tomorrow, or even a week from now?” Then repeat this simple mantra meditation silently or out loud: Relax Relax Relax Breathe Breathe Breathe This isn’t as important as I think it is. As you repeat the mantra, focus on your breath. Inhale deeply, feeling the air filling your lungs, and exhale slowly, letting go of any stress or worries. Continue this practice for at least 30 seconds to one minute. By taking this time to center yourself and engage in this mantra meditation, you will regain proper perspective and recognize the fleeting nature of certain stressors.
