ᏦᎬᎽ bᎾᎪᏒᎠ ᎳᎪᏒᏒᎥᎾᏒs… Easiest job on the 🛜 internet, right? (Pictures in comments) 🙄🙃 I find it humorous and slightly entertaining at best when someone tries to belittle you about something they have never experienced. Let me preface this by saying “I am so proud of our newly crowned Miss America. She is absolutely brilliant, accomplished, and successful at quite a young age. If anyone is rooting for her continued success, it is women like myself whom have walked down similar challenging paths. Women whom have served or are currently serving our country. Women who are disciplined, driven, and accomplished. But when I respond to someone for posting “false information” and they get defensive, it’s because I want you to be educated and not look like a silly goose 🪿 It’s okay to “learn something new”. I attended Air Force pilot training in Columbus MS. I graduated. I wear my Air Force pilot wings(and CSO wings) with pride. I AM not a “fighter pilot” nor have I ever claimed to be one. I fly cargo aircraft and I love every single moment of it. There are post/news articles all over the internet saying Madison Marsh is a fighter pilot. Please note, that is like me saying “I’m a Delta pilot..” all because I work for a company(Endeavor) whom has a pathway to Delta. She has been selected for pilot training(awesome accomplishment)— but she is not an Air Force pilot. ( I have extremely high hopes she will join those of us whom have traveled that path!) I mentor many individuals who wish to experience/be selected for UPT (undergraduate pilot training). It’s a long process. It is a journey. It’s not a FAM flight in the back of an F16 that makes you a fighter pilot or a parajumper in the back of a C130 that makes you a heavy pilot. Getting a bachelors degree 📜 is step 1. Getting selected is step 2 of a 2.5-3 YEAR process. Here is a great article on the process and timeline it takes to become a mission ready Air Force Pilot. https://lnkd.in/gUgs2iP5 Now, back to other aviation related stuff. Who traveled this week and got stranded in a cold 🥶 and snowy ❄️ location? 🙃 #education #travel #airplane #planetalk #usaf #pilotwings #aviation #upt #undergraduatepilottraining #airforce #mentor #uptselection #reserves #usafr

Right??! I thought the same thing about the media calling her a “fighter pilot”. My brother went to USAFA—he is a cargo pilot. 😂 Also, as an Air Force daughter/sister and Marine Corps spouse, I have a solid appreciate for just HOW DIFFICULT it really is—getting in AND doing the job. Although, some make it look really fun…. 😁 And after I read your comment of “mansplaining”…. I actually have a photo of myself in a cadet plane. So, yea, I guess they do let just about anyone in one for a kodak moment! 😂

Glad to see this brought up the way you present it here, Aynsley. I got a real kick when I saw your comment/pic. Proof of how flashing some selected video bites easily leads the (sheepish) perceptions of those who (actually) don't know what they are talking about. It's unfortunate that we're usually outnumbered by folks who don't take the time to ask questions within then chose to read credible source material to find answers.

Nice post! As for traveling this week, travelled, delayed, not stuck but cold for sure.

I agree with your views 💯 Aynsley Honeycutt. This shows mental maturity of people who demean and dismiss the achievement of others. It's not a small feat to be a Miss America while completing her military training. Every job and role be it in military / civil is equally important in its own unique way. Loved the way you explained in detail. Have a good day. 👍

Too bad about Miss Marsh choosing to use preferred pronouns on her LI bio...... Guess that's a Harvard thing.

When someone criticizes another, it’s usually due to something lacking in their own life/world. She (and you, Annsley) worked hard to get where she /you are today! As moms used to say: “consider the source!”
