Additional Details:
These consultants will work on a VERY high profile and complex multi-year program called Forecasting for our Future or F3. This is the highest priority program for their CFO for the foreseeable future. The purpose of F3 is to completely redo their forecasting systems/processes. Today, the ecosystem is very fragmented, including spreadsheets on desktops. Their governance processes are lacking data controls. They have to undergo Dodd Frank Stress Testing (DFAST) every year where they are given scenarios by the Federal gov't (e.g., another housing crisis, recession, etc.) and they need to be able to prove how they would handle this and survive this scenario. (All large banks are required to do this too. Silicon Valley was just under the threshold and had they been required to do this, their issues would have surfaced long ago and they might not have folded.) Part of DFAST is providing fed regulators with forecasts and they don't feel confident with the data they're providing today, not to mention that it's a very painful, manual process to get at it. They are aiming to have Phase 1 of F3 done in time to get the 2025 DFAST run out of the new platform/process, but there will be significant work after that. They think this program make take up to 4 years to complete.
