Is my Harry Potter book a "First Edition"? How can I tell? There are many ways to tell if a book is a first edition. Each publisher has it’s own guidelines on how they determine to print their first run. In modern first editions, it is perhaps a bit easier to identify as publishers tend to adopt much similar formulas on their print run indicators. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone is perhaps the most commonly inquired example of a modern first edition. For International Book Giving Day, here are my top three recommendations: The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck by Mark Manson - I'm particularly fond of the straightforwardness of this book; Mark Manson cuts through the waffle and gets directly to the heart of the matter, which is refreshingly simple. The Go-Giver by Bob Burg and John David Mann - Suggested a few years back by Kate Cherry, this is a book I find myself returning to frequently. It offers a unique spin on the timeless adage, "give and you shall receive," and has profoundly impacted my perspective. One Thought Changes Everything by Mara Gleason Olsen - I have a habit of adding recommended books to an ever-growing list, but when Sarah Clayton-Jones suggested this one, she advised bumping it to the front of the queue. The concept is remarkably straightforward yet incredibly profound, making it easy to absorb and apply to daily life. What books do you often recommend?
