Lack of TCA is one of the reasons most of Agricultural Commercialization have been labeled profitable when in reality they are not. Omission of the social and Environmental costs has left most projects feeling they are profitable. It is exciting to see the world realizing that Economic stability at the cost of environmental and social instability is not stability at all. It is just living in denial. Eventually, the pinch is loud enough to be ignored. This is a report worth attending to at all levels. This year’s session of the State Of Food and Agriculture session by FAO is about True Cost Accounting (#tca). The Impact Institute contributed as an expert in the background literature. I am proud to be part of this journey. It's vital to increase the transparency of the agro-food system’s effects, which alone produces more than one third of total GHGs and one of the highest sectors in terms of externalities generated on the environment and society as a whole. We are working with the Gov of Liberia, with the support of UNICEF, to change the approach to nutrition to increase healthy dietary diversity for children from 3% to 80% over the next 5 years among other objectives through the design of the country’s first #nutrition #SBCstrategy
