Let's work together to bridge this gap and create a more equitable future for all. By advocating for fair pay practices, promoting transparency, and supporting initiatives that prioritize gender equality, we can drive meaningful change. Happy #InternationalWomensDay! Today is dedicated to celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women worldwide. This year’s theme of #InspireInclusion’ emphasises the importance of promoting an inclusive environment where women feel valued, respected, and empowered. One of the many ways this can be achieved is to work towards gender equality in the workplace, particularly regarding pay. #PayEquality at #Yooralla has continued to improve year-on-year, and we are pleased to share that our median #GenderPayGap comes in at 1.3%, placing us in a ‘neutral position’. This means our pay does not significantly favour either men or women. We acknowledge the importance of fair and equitable pay and are dedicated to continuing to improve this.

Founder at Gender Fair. Obsessed by "The Female Domestic Product" or #FDP. Unleashing a consumer revolution. Rating companies, colleges or nonprofits on how they support women--so people can not pay for sexism.
The UK does it, now Australia. The US and Canada need it too--required reporting and publishing of pay gaps. And of course, that would also facilitate the paygapbot---which showed the hypocrisy of of companies doing performative pink-washing with events and women's panels that actually PAID WOMEN LESS money. Australia's WGEA is amazing. #PayGapBot #PayTransparency #GenderPayGap #WGEA

Public and media scrutiny can be powerful motivators for change. From early 2024, the Workplace Gender Equality Agency will publish private sector employer gender pay gaps for every company (over 100 employees). This is the beginning of a series of new reporting requirements, accountability and transparency measures to accelerate improvement for the economic participation of women in the workforce. Without doubt, the headline figure will be an annual attention grabbing tool that will facilitate comparison between businesses for all stakeholders. The consequence management of this transparency and the first to be published numbers that have already been submitted, was an important discussion at the Australian Institute of Company Directors free webinar - I joined the panel discussion with Andrew Stevens, Laura Bacon, Mary Wooldridge. Worth a look if you are not across the new reforms and their implications: https://lnkd.in/gPKrsVy4

With International Women’s Day still fresh in our minds, we couldn’t think of a better time to talk about the legal obligations we have as employers to produce a gender pay gap report and review in our business. International Women’s Day celebrates women, their achievements, and inspires others to support gender equality and equal pay, regardless of division, bias, or discrimination. Did you know the gender pay gap still stands at 19.1% in the UK? That means that for every 80p women earn, men are paid a £1! We consider it our obligation to keep up to date with legislation and to fight for gender equality across our business. Adhering to the pay gap legislation means we: · Reinforce our reputation in equality · Support our female employees · Give everyone a fair chance regardless of gender. · Strengthen client confidence. · Improve employee confidence. #equality #genderpaygap #letstalkaboutit #equalopportinities
