Had a very interesting meeting today. This happen couple of times before, and happened again today. I prefer to have decision maker in meeting in early stage of the design process, because we as designer will need to gauge their preference and expectations. Whether its a small project or big project, the same applies. If the ground team are making decisions on concept, colour schemes and design theme, then when we have meeting with then BOD, usually its 100% changes, and we have to go to drawing board again. I dont complain, but way of working in multi-hierarchy corporation cause double work, and unnecessary anxiety. Do you agree? #shahnazinteriors #healthcareinteriors

In this article I describe my ideal client. Do you know your ideal client?
"Interior design isn't just a one-person job. It's like a dance, where the designer and the client work together. They understand and respect each other and talk openly. We often talk about how to pick the right professional designer who can understand our style. But it's also key to think about the client’s role in this effort. This teamwork can go on for a long time, from designing a family home, to vacation homes, business buildings, and even places for their kids." Written by: Larisa Pomescikova, Executive Contributor

Commercial Interior Designer to the Workplace and Retail sector. Helping you to increase visibility by creating interiors that attract your ideal client | Commercial Interiors | Workplace Design | Retail Design
Studio day for me today. Working on putting together a pricing schedule for a large renovation project. Every project we ask a client “what is your budget“ and more and more often our budget gets swallowed up with soaring building costs. It’s such a fine line and we’re constantly juggling schemes to fit budgets. It’s the nature of what we do. Although at times it’s hard because that amazing idea you had for a space that everyone loves even the client can sometimes get pushed because other financial influences take over. 😏 The best time to bring an Interior Designer on board is at the very beginning. Even before an architect sometimes. We want to be able to dictate the shell of a building so that we get the best of the interior. It means our projects can take considerably longer to complete as there is a huge lag between the initial concept layouts, getting build costs back and then us having our budget for the interiors but in the long run it means the clients investment on the end product is the best it can be. 😍 Do you listen to anything while your working? Im a radio kinda girl, Greatest Hits Radio is my current station. What do you listen to ? #studioday #interiordesigner #excel

One of the greatest challenges is the constant need to adapt to technology advancements. With new software, tools and platforms, designers must continuously update their skills and knowledge to remain competitive as every company uses different personalised platforms. Do you know your design could speak? It has a voice. Let's say your design is a person. What would it say? 𝗔 𝗰𝗼𝘇𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽: ↳ "Welcome in! I'm the perfect place to relax and catch up with friends." 𝗔 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴: ↳ "I'm where innovation and collaboration happen." 𝗔 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲 𝘀𝗽𝗮: ↳ "I'm here to help you relax and de-stress." 𝗔 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘂𝗺: ↳ "I'm full of knowledge and wonder." 𝗔 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲: ↳ "I'm where you can be yourself and be surrounded by loved ones."
