Meet Isabella, Naidel and Norman, three extraordinary team members that demonstrate the spirit of “Being BayCare.” They were each previously treated for childhood cancers in the pediatric oncology unit at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital. and have a deep understanding of the toughness it takes for children to battle cancer. Determined to give back, they are now at the bedside providing comfort and reassurance to children and their families. Can’t wait to meet them when we install our Swoop portable MRI for their team! My niece had ALL and is doing great 4 years later. Will be interesting to watch and see if she pursues a career in nursing or medicine as well.
