It's been more than 150 years since the abolishment of slavery, yet just 10 years ago, the last reported enslaved African American, Mae Louise Walls Miller, passed away. Slavery is not distant history -- it's a recent reality with generational impact. Celebrate #Juneteenth today but remember, our work is far from over.
