JUST IN: #SuncoastHRUNITE Concludes its “First” PInellas County Event WOW, what can be said that hasn’t already been said about this FIRST #SuncoastHRUNITE event hosted by SuncoastHR as inspired by our very own President, Jessica H.! As a extension of HR Tampa’s #HRInspire, this “joint” SHRM Chapter event was launched in a new county this year keeping the HR professional in mind, whether in job transition or considering one, to assisting our U.S. military and military spouses seeking that civilian job due to transition challenges, or welcoming the college or university student entering the HR field for the first time. What a remarkable turnout with special guest presenters Paul Cortissoz, SPHR (HR Soul Consulting), Jason Druding (CareerSource Pinellas) and Orlando Haynes 🎙️ (CareerTalks Podcast) in the beautifully renovated SPC Epicenter in Clearwater, FL. Special thanks to the HR Soul team for providing food and beverage, complete with 4 Rivers Smokehouse over wine and beverage. Thank you Paul!! The evening focused exclusively on the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) in the job seeking effort, along with digging below the surface with many in attendance as they seek to land their next opportunity. It NEVER ceases me that this is an ongoing and CRITICAL effort for the HR community and SuncoastHR is committed to offer their services to those in need in a growing yet challenging market. There are many more to thank for showing up that evening suffice to say THANK YOU TO EACH OF YOU who took the time to brave the horrific storm, donate blood with OneBlood or just to stop by to “check us out.” We couldn’t have done it without you and I would like to specifically thank many SuncoastHR Board members who were in attendance that evening along with co-host Dennis Hartin, HRTampa’s Workforce Readiness Director for his continued commitment to this cause and all members of both Chapters who supported the event. As we move back to the Centre Club Tampa in Hillsborough County on September 26, 2024 beginning at 6:00pm sharp, we look forward to continuing this effort and welcome all employers, executive search and recruiting firms, and potential sponsors to strengthen what is emerging to be one of the most amazing projects I had the privilege to work alongside with our veterans initiative launched several years ago. We hope you can join us for our next event and continue to let us know of any job openings you may be aware of for our attendees and we hope you have a wonderful 4th of July celebration with your family and friends. Til We Meet Again… #VetsMatter / #MakeADifference

Yes, it was a great event with a strong turnout. The hosts and speakers did a good job leading the conversation about AI. We need to get on the AI bus or risk getting left behind. Don't be afraid of it, embrace it. *I would be happy to connect with attendees I didn't get the opportunity to meet and those who weren't able to attend as well.
