When I started working at Conservio, I was introduced to Ecosia as the primary search engine, and it didn’t take long to see why this choice was so impactful. Working in the ecotourism industry, I am committed to making a difference through my everyday actions, and using Ecosia is one of the ways I like to live out that commitment. I’m excited to share why I’ve chosen Ecosia and why I encourage everyone to make the switch from Google. Sustainability is one of the most urgent agenda items for our organizations today, yet it is also one of the most intractable. Even defining the scope of the role can be difficult — and often it seems to involve vast responsibilities, with limited authority. "Dialogue and Action on Sustainability" is a new, significant response to the sustainability challenges. This initiative fills a critical need, bringing together top leaders across sectors to compare experiences, discuss potential approaches to key challenges, and identify action steps. What a spectacular table, highlighting the differences between the two main approaches to sustainability. A regenerative and positive mindset allows for the innovation, empowerment, and inspiration we need for serious and local systemic impacts. On the other hand, the more common and punitive measures will only serve to punish and suppress most of society, allowing only the largest corporations to thrive.
