Key Principles for Success as a Leasing Agent! I wanted to take a moment to share my thoughts on what truly defines a leasing agent. While the marketplace may offer various and often eloquent descriptions, I believe it ultimately comes down to a few basic principles based on my own experiences. 1. Be Nice! - Being courteous, inviting, and genuinely focused on the prospects' needs is crucial. A positive attitude can make a significant difference in their experience. 2. Listening - Often, we find ourselves talking more than we listen. It’s essential to truly hear what the prospect is saying to address their concerns effectively. 3. Close! -Yes, I said it—close the deal! Don’t hesitate to ask for an application. I've observed many agents overlook this step, missing opportunities to move forward with interested prospects. 4. Knowledge- You should know your inventory inside and out. Understand your building, the surrounding neighborhood, and your competitors, and be ready to share this knowledge with prospects. 5. Be Excited!- Show genuine enthusiasm about your property and ownership. Your excitement can be contagious and can greatly influence a prospect's decision. These principles are the differentiators that can set one property apart from another in terms of customer service and attention to detail. While there are many more points to consider, focusing on these key areas will undoubtedly help you stand out in the competitive leasing landscape.

My Client came to me originally looking for an automotive unit to start their new Wheel Alignment business. Now if you know Automotive, you know Automotive units are notoriously hard to find within the GTA with almost 99% occupancy and rarely with any vacancies. but Guess what?
