The amount of times I’ve had this conversation is staggering. Social media is not just about how many likes and reach (I can’t stand this word anymore) a post can’t get. It’s about human connection. The name says it all, SOCIAL (people) media (avenue through where people connect) Meaning, human connection. Social media is your online portfolio. Social media is how you present your services, your products. 9/10 times, your social media page WILL have more views than your website. More and more people are using social media platforms as search engines to look for a business. Why? Because the thought process is that if they put effort on their social media (I can do a 15 minute video on what this means) it means they put effort in other areas of their business. Obviously there are always exceptions, but just think of YOUR OWN consumer habits. Would you rather purchase a product or service for the first time from: A. a business that has a social media page where all images and videos are high quality, that evoke an emotional connection, that has a well written bio, links, social proof, highlights showing the behind the scenes of the brand, their day-to-day operations, future product releases, a clean and aesthetic profile picture, where all the info for the business is there so you can reach out to them, a business that answers comments, questions, provides customer service via DMs Or B. A business that slaps a few photos of their products on their page, posts some promotions using graphic design templates from Canva, a business that you have to go to their website, scroll all the way to the bottom to find their email and phone number, a business where doesn’t even take the time to answer comments on their social media page. Seriously, I urge you to take a second a think about the scenario above. Which business would you buy from? Now this is where it gets really scary 👇 Just imagine now that 2000 potential customers (shooting really low here) come across your social media profiles monthly. That’s 24,000 over the year. Using your own data of average ticket per customer, conversion rates, do the math. How much money are you leaving on the table by not putting effort, time, money, resources on your social media? I’ll leave it at that.

We fired our fractional VP of marketing. Here's why… Because Brandon Redlinger is now our full-time VP of marketing!!! After 6 weeks as the fractional VP of Marketing at Chili Piper, we couldn’t wait to turn up the heat and make things official. Making the switch from fractional to full-time is big. So we fired Brandon as our fractional VP of Marketing, so we could hire him as our full-time leader and light a new fire under our marketing! So, what do you think? 😍INSANELY GOOD HEAD OF MARKETING ON THE MARKET IN MELBOURNE😍 I have just started working with Oscar, following a redundancy in his previous company, where he had a tenure of 10 years!! As a whole, he has been working in digital marketing for around 4 years. He comes from a performance marketing background, with strong specialist skills across both Paid Search and Paid Social. Throughout his career, he has been able to remain pretty hands-on in the planning, implementation and activation across those channels. He finds himself to be competent in strategy due to his simple interest and passion for data, he can draw strong conclusions and identify gaps within business strategy based on numbers, supported by trend mapping and industry knowledge he has managed to achieve some great results. After time to reflect upon his redundancy and what's next, with the exciting but rewarding challenge of raising his 6-month-old, Oscar has decided he would like to get back involved in a growing business, ideally within the retail, tech, SaaS, or the for good space, where he can help nurture and lead a strong team and make some noticeable differences for a company and their growth.  Salary-wise, he is looking for a very humble $180K-$200K+super, which is still a huge decrease from his previous package.
