Last month I went to #FundLaunchLive in Orlando FL. Great event Bridger Pennington! One of the speakers was Benjamin Hardy, PhD, author of the book "10X Is Easier Than 2x" It's been a great read so far. The big idea for me so far is to set a target so big that you could not possibly hit it. Essentially, start with the target in mind, Then totally restructure and change the way you're doing things today to align with how you need to be doing things in order to hit that target. 🎯 If your team set a goal to increase and hit $10M in revenue this year, instead of trying to figure out how to hit $10M, What do you need to change up and be doing in order to hit $20M? What customers are you going after? What tech do you need to utilize? How many team members does that require? What is getting in the way? What do you need to be doing less of? Think bigger and then figure out how to go after that bigger target.

Saying yes to everything (well nearly everything) certainly brings you some inspiring connections. So… when Jo got in touch to talk all things creative and a gentle bribe of coffee and cake it was a no-brainer to say “Yes” to this. Personally, I’m at a bit of a pivot point considering whether to reposition www.rednine.co.uk as a Charity Brand Specialist – which realistically is what I live and breathe day in day out – partnering with charities to make their brands beautiful again. And to shake off the Agency persona to step forward as a “curious creative with an empathetic approach to visual storytelling”. Meeting Jo and chatting through my Founder’s story certainly helped me to appreciate what came before whilst reigniting the possibilities of what comes next – so thank you. The plane analogy will make more sense (when/if you read the story)… but let’s just say I landed, I am down, with no clear runway and no airport or infrastructure, but I have the new and exciting and daunting and curiously creative challenge of building from here. Last month I challenged myself to meet with 50 founders. Fika with founders is bit of an experiment - to see if telling founders' origin stories helps them build community and grow their business. I have a hunch that potential clients, customers and collaborators are lost when visiting a website about page when they see little that resonates - I aim to gather the metrics (founders willing) and share those later.
