I think all the books, that I have been able to enjoy, influence my work. My personal library is made up of novels (of all kinds, but I am a bit of a party-goer in terms of tastes: fantasy, science fiction, crime,...), illustrated and unillustrated travel books, maps, comicbooks-graphic novels-mangas , children's or illustrated stories (those books that say they are for children but are actually for parents), photography books (of all kinds) and tons of cinema (biographies and making-of's (and dvd's)), theater, art, architecture, cooking and art manuals. I will forget some topics but the main thing is here. Working with two Illustrators on my current book series, l went to my local Children's Library to check out covers on the shelves. The research and images study was a useful experience as l have to discuss the cover profile my contributors and l are happy with. Some Illustratlons are lifelike, while others are cartoon-like. Having worked with two different Illustrators on my next books, there'll be two different styles. The original Illustrator has been given actual photos of people for many of the main characters, l want them to look like. Should be an exciting diverse styles to fit the story. Mechs. So many mechs and so many styles. I started exploring --sref again looking for additional good graphic novel/comic book styles. In my testing, I would bounce from mechs to some of my weird west prompts to see how it handles humans and creatures.
