FDA approves #Breyanzi (CD19 CAR-T) as the first and only #cartcelltherapy for #chronic #lymphocytic #leukemia or small lymphocytic lymphoma. It was earlier approved for large B-cell #lymphoma. FDA's oncologic drug advisory committee (ODAC) recommends #Abecma (BCMA CAR-T) for #earlier #lines of treatment in #multiplemyeloma. Something, the entire sector is keenly looking into. The CD33 protein is a marker of cancerous white blood cells, making it a potential target for immunotherapies in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patients. 🎯 Every year, 20,000 individuals get diagnosed with AML in the U.S. These patients are usually treated with gemtuzumab ozogamicin; however, this therapy is ineffective in patients with a variant T allele. Genmab and AbbVie's Epcoritamab Shows Promise in Treating Relapsed/Refractory Follicular Lymphoma Key Points: Epcoritamab (DuoBody® CD3xCD20), a novel T-cell engaging bispecific antibody developed by Genmab and AbbVie, achieved an impressive 82% overall response rate (ORR) in a clinical trial for relapsed/refractory (R/R) follicular lymphoma (FL). 63% of patients achieved complete response (CR), and 67% achieved minimal residual disease (MRD) negativity. An optimized step-up dosing schedule reduced the risk and severity of Grade 2+ cytokine release syndrome (CRS), a common side effect of T-cell engaging therapies.
