Associate appreciation is VITAL to the success of a company. It is a simple act of acknowledging your associates for the contributions they make not only to the company but also to the morale of the team. It is the simplest way to retain your associates. Not only retain, but to make them feel like they mean something to us, truly mean something. Without our associates, without a team, we could never be successful. Being successful with your team leading the way is a beautiful thing. What kind of associate appreciation? It can be anything, BUT there is a few important points to make: ▪️ It absolutely without a doubt HAS to come from the HEART. If it doesn’t, it has no value. ▪️It HAS to be MEANINGFUL. If it isn’t, it has no value. ▪️It HAS to be IMPACTFUL. If it isn’t, it has no value. ▪️It HAS to be MEMORABLE. If it isn’t, it has no value. Here is a simple appreciation…50+ handwritten appreciation “thank you” cards that I wrote to every single one of my associates. It is not a typed message. It is not a quote found online. It is a SIMPLE, FROM THE HEART handwritten note from me to them, unique to each associate. I’m thankful for them. I’m thankful for their support. I’m most thankful for the relationships that we are beginning to build! So proud of you Team Watercrest Richmond. I’m so eager to watch you grow! ✨

🌟 Embracing the Culture of Appreciation at Crumbl Pensacola/Gulf Breeze 🌟 Early in my career, I learned the importance of Employee Development, Customer Service, Growth, & Profitability from the amazing team at Enterprise Mobility. I strongly believe that a focus on our team's development and company culture naturally leads to success in the other core areas. One practice we've adopted to nurture our team and culture is our "Crew Shout Outs" shared weekly through Slack. But why does this matter? 1️⃣ It cultivates a culture of appreciation, encouraging our emerging leaders to actively seek and celebrate the positives within our team. Acknowledging the great work happening around us! 2️⃣ These shout outs foster a strong sense of community and collaboration among our entire Crew. We believe that's it is important for colleagues to show appreciation for one-another, hence why we've provided a way in which this appreciation can be expressed for everyone to see. Welcome to this week's employee spotlight! On this wonderful Tuesday we are shining the spotlight on Kyle Blair! Kyle has been with us for 7 months as our Savannah Terminal Manager! During this time, he has loved Interacting with his coworkers and meeting new people in the industry from all over the world! What Kyle finds most rewarding about his work is being in an environment with a strong culture: "It really does make the job fun and exciting, that drives you to push harder and take ownership over your responsibilities." A personal achievement Kyle would like to share would be "Marrying my smoking hot wife and having 2 beautiful children" (A true family man 🔥) Fun fact about Kyle - he loves yardwork and landscaping! 🌳 Kyle has been on a 90's/ early 2000's Rock music kick lately - he also recently read The Art of War, "Very good read for how it can relate to business, management and organization." Kyle would've told you his favorite restaurant is Spanky's... but Tyler stole that for his spotlight. Instead, Kyle suggests you visit Ricciardi's which is a chicago style pizza place near our Savannah location! Kyle, you have quickly become a driving force behind our Savannah operations, and your commitment to upholding our gold standard of service has been nothing short of incredible. It's beyond clear that you are willing to go the extra mile. Celebrating a Decade of Growth and Achievements!   What an incredible journey it has been! A decade at Southeastern Grocers has brought forth a tapestry of personal growth, adventures, new challenges, and unforgettable experiences.   Looking back on the past 10 years, I am profoundly grateful for the opportunities to shape and develop both the business and myself, alongside remarkable leaders. Having held eight diverse positions, each chapter brought unique learnings, cherished memories, and significant accomplishments.   Here are just a few personal highlights: 1. Kosher Partnership with Chef Jamie Geller: We built a Kosher partnership program, intertwining my Jewish background and childhood memories with Chef Jamie Geller, creating a meaningful connection. 2. Alcohol Marketing Reinvention: Leading the transformation of our alcohol marketing strategy across liquor, beer, and wine, leveraging my background in the adult beverage industry to Southeastern Grocers. 3. Magazine Manager for 'Flavor' Magazine: From content creation to on-set shoots in New York, leading the development of 'Flavor' magazine was a journey of creativity and collaboration. 4.Leadership in New Store and Renewals Marketing Programs: Overseeing teams to deliver impactful marketing programs for new stores and remodels. 5. Business Lead for Transformational Initiatives: Steering the transformation of the rewards program in 2018, personalization and customer engagement in 2020, and the redesign of our retail media network, SEG Connects, in 2021. 6. Co-Chair of the Women's Development Network: A 2.5-year journey dedicated to empowering and engaging women and allies in their professional and personal lives through impact, inspiration, and leadership.   I owe a debt of gratitude to my mentors, coaches, and sponsors – selfless individuals who played a pivotal role in my journey. And a heartfelt shout-out to all my bosses, team members, cross-functional collaborators and supplier partners who have made this journey so much fun!   As a token of appreciation, over the next 10 days, I'll be sharing my Top 10 Tips learned along the way.
