Smita M.’s Post

This was a fantastic event curated by Prasanth Nori and Meghana Dutta and delighted to be part of it. It's lovely to see such initiatives available for school going young adults to help navigate their future careers. I was delighted to meet Gauri Parate and Nelson Vinod Moses through this and see all that they do to enable the Social Impact Ecosystem.

This past weekend my professional worlds collided in the best possible way! The Future is Us Summit, a social outreach initiative by the Harvard Club of Bengaluru brought together high schoolers from across the social and economic strata, industry leaders and individuals working in the space of education, climate, AI, leadership, entrepreneurship and many more. A dear friend and constant supporter, Prasanth Nori gave me the opportunity to speak at the summit as part of a panel on Social Impact Entrepreneurship and what it means for the next generation. This being my very first time as a speaker, I was rightfully nervous (but very excited as well!). Consolidating my learnings and insights from my work at Udhyam Learning Foundation and NSRCEL was a challenging but fun task, having worked with high schoolers and young adults in the past and now with entrepreneurs everyday. But interacting with the students on the day, and hearing them ask such deep and thoughtful questions reminded me of why I love this work so much! A huge shout out to my fellow panelists Nelson Vinod Moses and Smita M. for making the conversation so enriching and diverse, and Prasanth Nori for being a wonderful moderator!
