I might not have been at ASGCT this year, but I definitely know all the tea! 😉 How, you ask? Continue reading... You must have read my previous post from World Orphan and how Gene Therapy will continue to dominate headlines. Keeping up with the theme, I found some small, well-funded Gene Therapy companies attending ASGCT with preclinical studies on the way. One that stood out the most to me was Gordian Biotechnology. They recently received $60M in funding, and haven’t even entered the clinics yet. With a key focus on Cell and Gene Therapies and a recent funding of over $100 million each, Obsidian Therapeutics and Neurona Therapeutics also attended the event to talk about their cell therapy research in patients with metastatic melanoma and drug-resistant chronic focal epilepsy, respectively.
