This week, our Director Renee Wegrzyn had the honor of standing alongside President Joe Biden and First Lady Dr. Jill Biden when they announced up to $150 million in ARPA-H awards to eight trailblazing teams selected for our PSI program to create new technology that ensures perfect cancer tumor removal. These performer teams are stepping closer to answering, “what if surgeries fixed problems flawlessly, the first time?” https://lnkd.in/eX3ABF6z During the event in New Orleans where President Biden and the First Lady delivered remarks on the announcement, President Biden said, “When Jill and I reignited the #CancerMoonshot in our administration, we were determined to launch this new outfit called ARPA-H. And that’s what we did… ARPA-H has so far committed more than $400 Million to ending cancer as we know it. A year ago, ARPA-H set its sights on a big idea, calling on researchers and innovators to pioneer new techniques and technologies to make cancer removal more precise, accurate, and successful. Imagine cancer surgery that removes all of the tumor the first time, without harming healthy cells… Today we’re announcing $150 Million ARPA-H funding for some of the nation’s cutting-edge cancer research institutions.”

ARPA-H has rejected my three distinct submissions to them, including a response to the "EMBODY" solicitation. Of note in this regard, I have a long record of innovation --elected to the National Academy of Inventors in 2024. I have a long record of innovation : first to show mRNA could be employed as a cancer vaccine, constructed the oncolytic virus used to treat Joe Biden's son (first FDA-approved tropism-modified virus), have developed world's only approved intranasal vaccine for COVID-19. I know they say their mission is high impact and "out of the box". This has not been my experience.

I made the virus to treat Joe Biden's son. ARPA-H shot down ALL of my proposals. And I'm a Fellow in the National Academy of Inventors. Not novel enough, I suppose.

Congratulation! I do agree with your approach regarding the cancer treatment. We have a technology to minimize the gamma camera for real-time lymph node imaging. Hope to help you someday to find the best answer for the PSI.

I made the virus to treat Joe Biden's son. Moonshot did nothing for my program.
