Machine tools capable of performing multiple functions and machining parts to completion are becoming the standard rather than the exception. Incorporating automation into these systems allows for extended periods of operation without the need for operator intervention. One example was shown at EMO 2023 in Hannover, Germany, with the three-spindle MC20III Multi Station Machining Cell from Marubeni Citizen-Cincom Inc.The machine itself essentially combines three chucker lathes into a single machine unit. This is often difficult due to busy schedules or long distances. 👎 This is why there is the option of a 𝘃𝗶𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗗𝗜 (Pre-Delivery Inspection) 𝗼𝗿 𝗙𝗔𝗧 (Factory Acceptance Test). 🙌 This involves setting up the entire weighing system - with cross head feeders and product transfer system (if available). We mount cameras from a wide variety of angles to ensure that all ranges can be mapped as well as possible. The acceptance tests are carried out with original or test products in our technical center 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲. This acceptance test can also be carried out in our cooling chamber, for example. This allows the customer to follow the achievement of the required cycle rates and accuracies live.
