Loving this article from Ursula Mead, CEO of InHerSight. If you're not familiar with her organization, they are a company review platform for women. Meaning - they know a LOT about what women want from work. Here are 5 #WorkplaceTrends for women at work. We talk a lot about the power of flexible and #RemoteWork, but this statistic caught me by surprise: "Notably, 22% of women also say they have felt a decline in their employer’s support for them personally in the past six months." Yikes! It's been a difficult year, we see that in hiring numbers and the dread of anticipating a recession (that will hopefully never come). Inflation and therefore stress is at an all time high. Let's make sure we aren't taking that out on our employees who are performing as well as they can due to market conditions. #Empathy is a powerful thing. 💪🏼 https://lnkd.in/eF-SaKaU

As we continue to strive towards creating memorable and resonating workplace experiences, it's important to understand the characteristics that resonate most with women. According to Newsweek: https://lnkd.in/eJUNjj_R selecting workplaces that value women's contributions and cultivate a positive work environment is essential. With March marking Women's History Month, it's a timely opportunity for organizations to showcase how they prioritize and advocate for women's work experiences, careers, and well-being. Here are some topics to consider for celebrating and recognizing women: - Leveraging the latest trends in work flexibilities, workplace experience, and culture change. - Designing work for well-being and addressing specific needs and challenges for working parents and caregivers. - Understanding how the pandemic has reshaped experiences, expectations, and priorities for women in the workforce. - Developing new competencies in care, comfort, and connection to foster a culture of empowerment and advancement across life stages. - Integrating flexibility discussions across the employee life cycle, aligning with career and life stages, to retain top talent. - Identifying and understanding how to create truly inclusive working cultures. This is a really important insight about the productivty of midlife women….
Supporting companies to keep women 45+ at work / tackling skilled workforce shortage / increasing profitability with C-level experience
Often the perception in some workplaces is that working women 45+ who work flexibly are somehow less productive, ambitious or competitive. ✔️ But the truth appears very different. Not only are women 45+ a much-needed addition to our labour force, bringing valuable skills and diversity of thought, but women in flexible roles appear to be the most productive members of the company’s workforce. ✔️ We have known this to be true for a long time. When do you start cultivating a flexible, menopause-orientated, inclusive workplace?
