Just finished reading a book on teamwork in football and came across a quote that really resonated with me: "Every disadvantage has its own advantages." -Johan Cruyff (Footballer/Genius) This made me think about another quote along similar lines: "Every challenge is an opportunity." It's a great reminder that even in difficult situations, there's always a chance to learn, grow, and come out stronger. In a way, being in partnerships is also just like playing football, not only with your team but multiple teams. This is teamwork at its finest! Let's embrace the challenges that come with partnerships and turn them into opportunities for growth. #inspiration #teamwork #partnership

At IBM I learned the most important partnership is your peer group - across all disciplines. It’s your peer group that creates change together, your peer group that “renders intent” into delivered value. Your peer group that rises through the ranks together. TEAMS WIN CHAMPIONSHIPS. Congratulations to the University of South Carolina (women's) and the University of Connecticut(men's) basketball teams on winning their respective NCAA Basketball Championships. In both cases, it was truly a team effort. Each member of these teams brought their individual "competitive greatness" to the game, resulting in the championship. I do find it interesting that the teams they played in the championship games had the Players of the Year on them: Caitlin Clark for Iowa and Zach Edey for Purdue. Both Caitlin and Zach played extremely well. They both set scoring records, yet they both said they would trade the records for the championship. Coach Wooden always said, "The star of the team is the team." "The best thing you can do to help your team is to develop yourself." The fact is, TEAMS WIN CHAMPIONSHIPS! Teamwork and Humility: The Key to Successful Platforms and Businesses in Sports and Beyond

Sport games are finite games; they provide a petri dish for us to observe performance; business and life are different, but we love to compare! Take a look at this post on the recent NCAA basketball results.

Sing it with me: "It's the most. Wonderful time. Of the year." Of course, I'm talking about March Madness. And while we may or may not sneak a peek at how our favorite teams are doing (Go Cyclones) we can also learn a few things from the tournament: 1. Teamwork makes the dream work. 2. Having fans to cheer you on helps you get the win. 3. You can get a lot done in the closing minutes that determines outcomes. 4. No matter what "experts" say, winning or losing depends on your current performance, not your past record. 5. It's the Final Four for a reason - winning the championship is nice, but if your projects can make the Final Four at work, you're winning. (Strong Finish/Results > Perfection.)
