I think Thirsty Thursday 🎉 is a concept typically seen on campuses and colleges, but our Australian team tried it out last week to inject some fun and camaraderie into the workplace (and no, alcohol isn't a necessity!). It's been great to see the team enjoying themselves. 🏓 There's more on the horizon at Queue-it! We've recently introduced a Padel Club as part of our employee activities. But it's not just about the sport; we start with a solid understanding of the rules and an introduction to padel, ensuring everyone is aligned before hitting the court. It's exciting to see our employees' enthusiasm and curiosity in trying new things. My point is this: At Queue-it, our aim extends beyond the daily grind. That's it. Three weeks of summer vacation are now over.   I spent some time in Germany with my family, where I practiced my limited German skills and took care of some long-overdue tasks in the garden. Now that I'm back at the office, I have a lot of catching up to do with work and projects for my clients. Even though I was on vacation, I didn't completely disconnect from work. My work is also my hobby, so I read a couple of good books. For instance, I read "The Ultimate Guide to Snowpark" by Shankar Narayanan SGS and Vivekanandan Srinivasan. The book provides a great introduction to Snowpark, Snowpark ML, and Snowpark Container Services. For those familiar with PySpark and working with containers, the syntax and code examples are easy to follow. However, if you're new to these concepts, you might need to read the book twice to fully understand the syntax. Overall, it's a great book for both beginners and more seasoned developers looking to learn about Snowpark and its components. Personally, I am looking forward to seeing what the future of Snowpark brings of new possibilities. #snowpark #vacation #summerismagic #learnsomethingnew

It's not every day you hear from someone keen on building a culture similar to what we've been nurturing at Jack Studios. So, of course, we said yes! And where did we end up? The Higher Ground restaurant. Talk about a spot that lives up to its name! It was fantastic to step out of the digital bubble and meet face-to-face with other small teams in our industry, all committed to strengthening their offline cultures. The coolest thing was learning about how competitive the Basrus team is! They've got this app with all sorts of challenges – from tracking who's the fittest to a weekly waffle eating and smoothie challenge. Sometimes, all it takes is a bit of friendly competition—and, of course, fun—to bring a team together. We would love to connect with other small teams, so why not make it a thing? We're already planning to invite the Basrus crew for a game of Padel. If your team is up for some fun, camaraderie, and maybe a little friendly competition, why not join us?
