Curious about you odds for a pay uplift in 2023 SaaS? In 21/22 almost every candidate that we placed were able to achieve a pay increase - sometimes these uplifts were substantial and quite frankly unsustainable. In 2023 if you have been one of the many affected by a RIF - we've found it is unlikely that you will get a pay bump on your last salary. However, still in a job and on the lookout for your next role? We are still seeing over 60% of candidates are able to negotiate an uplift. #salary #payincrease #saas #jobs

Financially speaking, it's undeniable that most high-performing 360 recruiters should set up on their own. - An employee billing £300,000 in agency might take home ~£70,000/yr (assuming a gross base + commission that adds up to 35% of total billings) - An agency owner (solopreneur) billing the same amount (£300,000) might take home ~£137,000/yr But is it realistic for solopreneurs to "match" their agency performance when they no longer have: - A manager - An established brand and marketing resources - Legal guidance and templates - Accounting, bookkeeping & back-office - Tech support - A populated database - Tech tools - A competitive social environment/pressure to perform? From our research, recruiters who set up completely by themselves, end up spending ~60% of their time billing, and ~40% of their time on "managing the business". So a £300,000 agency biller (employee) might turn out to be a £180,000 (60% of £300,000) solopreneur . Even when billing £180,000, the founder could still exceed their previous take-home pay at ~£85,000, but it's certainly not as exciting as £137,000... This is where platforms like RecruitHub come in... Recruiters who launch with us report spending ~92% of their time on recruitment and revenue generation. So a £300,000 biller in agency can get a lot closer to matching their previous performance under their own brand (92% of £300,000 = £276,000). And a solopreneur billing £276,000 could take home ~£126,000/yr. That's £85,000 VS £126,000, for the same number of hours worked... Just by focusing on what you're good at. As a solopreneur, it may be tempting to "keep it lean and do everything on your own", but there's a clear opportunity cost to doing things that could be outsourced to professionals (recruiters know this best...).

RELEASED - The Sales Ops Salary Trends Report is now live! We have tracked the Sales Operations salaries across North America from 2020-to-2023, and we can see a noticeable shift in the distribution of talent and salaries. No doubt the arrival of COVID-19 was a catalyst to decentralize Sales Operations talent – the interesting fact is that median salaries have grown outside of the ‘traditional’ leading tech cities. Employers are savvy and they know paying more than the local average in dispersed areas is still a cost-saving vs the traditional epicenters. We track and compare these trends against the RevPath website, which monitors new job additions in real time every day. We can see that remote Sales Operations roles are still in supply, and the salary parity is trending favorably. Take a look at these insights from some of the most influential voices in the SalesOps/RevOps ecosystem today. Is Customer Success on the decline? CSMs were the most in demand positions in SaaS. Everyone was hiring them Salaries were through the roof Finding a good one could take months Since the downturn, I've spoken to many are now struggling to find something. Mainly down to salary. Some SaaS firms that were paying $150-170k are hiring the same for $100-$120k. It's mad given how much of a vital role Customer Success is. My gut tells me it's short sighted for companies to be doing this. Whilst you may get someone to reluctantly take the role. They will be first out the door when things pick up. Pay people what they are worth. PS. Why do you think this might be? Keen to hear peoples perspective who are smarter than I am. #customersuccess #gotomarket #saas
