☀️How much thought do you put into your office space? ☀️ Setting the stage for your client sessions is so important. We want the atmosphere to be comfortable so they’ll feel safe to open up and engage in the therapeutic process. I like to design my space to engage my clients’ five senses. That may be diffusing essential oils or lighting a candle. Making sure it’s clean and organized so they aren’t overwhelmed or triggered by clutter. I also like to use timeless, comfortable furniture in calming colors and have water/snacks on hand. Oh, and I’ll play music to promote relaxation or feel-good vibes while in our space. Life Not Landfill There are two main villains in my upcoming book, _The Eccentric Genius Habitat Intervention: Interior Design for Highly Sensitive People_. One is the Glamorous Home. The other is late-stage capitalist patriarchy. The Glamorous Home is meant to be looked at, not lived in.
