The doctor’s office used a new workflow to capture notes to make the process more efficient using digital tools. This is part of the digital transformation going on in the medical industry, and how service is delivered to patients. What is digital transformation? I realized I have thrown it around as a phrase, but haven't spent the time to investigate it more (this is a huge topic which cannot be explored in a few newsletter editions). Improving work with technology: Are your colleagues losing time from bad weather? The weather affects us all, but some more than others. It doesn’t make much difference if you’re a kid and want to play outside. But it does for agricultural workers, sports event organizers, or captains of transport vessels. Planning for the weather is crucial for them. And it just got a lot easier. Google’s DeepMind released GraphCast, an AI model able to predict weather conditions 10 days in advance more accurately and faster than the industry standards. 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗵𝗖𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝘀 𝗲𝘅𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹𝘀 𝟵𝟵.𝟳% 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲. That’s great news for everyone. Climate change makes earlier, better predictions of extreme weather events a life-saving necessity. But it also improves the work of people in outdoor jobs already today. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝘂𝗽𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹: 𝘼𝙜𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚: Improve planting, harvesting, and irrigation. Raise crop yields and lower resource usage. 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣: Reduce downtime and improve productivity. Insurance: Better risk management and cost savings through better risk assessment and mitigation. 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 & 𝙇𝙤𝙜𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙨: Plan better transportation routes and delivery schedules, reducing disruption and costs.
