Are you a thought leader in the travel and tourism industry? Do you have valuable knowledge and expertise in marketing technology that can help advance our industry? If so, we invite you to submit a presentation proposal for the DMAWest 2024 Annual Tech Summit and Vendor Showcase!
Content Submission Focus Areas:
This year DMAWest is focusing its content into four areas:
Trends:
Stay updated on the latest technology and tourism trends that are pertinent to destination marketing, including industry trends, consumer behavior, and sentiment analysis, as well as advancements in technology, products, and privacy and data management.
Strategies:
Formulate and communicate high-level, overarching plans specifically designed to achieve well-defined marketing goals or objectives. These strategies may include: developing comprehensive marketing campaigns, collaborating with strategic partners, reporting and measuring return on investment (ROI) metrics.
Tactics:
Explore and share specific methods for effectively utilizing technology to implement marketing strategies that promote a destination, engage with visitors, and enhance the overall visitor experience. Tactics may include: day-to-day operational activities, best practices for creating content, networking-focused tips and tricks.
Case Studies:
Present real-life examples and experiences from Western destinations that have successfully utilized marketing technology. We encourage submissions with smaller campaign budgets, ($30,000 or less) that are actionable and accessible to a broad audience.
Presentation Guidelines:
The format for the 2024 Tech Summit will be different than in the past, with all presentations delivered to all the attendees in one room.
Presentations can be submitting for any length from 15 minutes to 60 minutes.
Content should be timely, and presentation should be new for our attendees.
All presentations will be asked to submit 2-3 key takeaways for the attendees.
We are not only interested in successes, but would welcome presentations sharing failures or missteps, as we also learn from our mistakes.
Destinations:
· DMOs are highly encouraged to submit presentations sharing success stories, best practices, and innovative ideas of interest to your peers.
· Presentations can include a vendor partner, but it is not required.
Industry Partners:
· Partners encouraged to submit content/case studies with a western DMO partner.
· Presentations thought to be “too pitchy” are not likely to be considered.
· Presentations should not be about a proprietary product, service, or technology offered only by your company. The tech should be accessible to everyone.
