It’s fine to have your preferences and leadership style, but if we’re making choices based solely on those, we aren’t making room for different ways to solve problems or create change. You end up creating a very homogenous culture, instead of promoting a diverse work environment. So, if you’re a leader asking yourself how you can be more inclusive, start by asking your team. It may seem like a tall order, but start small, and eventually you will see changes that you never expected, and you’ll open the door for a better workplace." It’s not enough to simply have a woman, or a person of color at the table. They must feel they belong and are welcomed at the table.   Wondering how to get started?
