It’s a shame BP have not taken pride in their pensioners ! C’mon if BP have a code of conduct which allegedly makes a level playing field for everyone connected to BP. I say allegedly because the code of conduct should apply to everyone regardless of race colour , creed, sexuality, religion , employees by BP , one of their contractors , peers and political leaning . So I ask you this “As an ex BP employee of thirty odd years & a pensioner of 14 years. Why do I feel as though BP is discriminating against its own Pensioners. ? “ Is it because #PrideMonth🏳️🌈 has a finite cost £££££?

I’m proud to work for a company that celebrates the diversity of our LGBTQ colleagues and encourages allyship. I know this will be a trigger for some but that won’t stop me being visible and vocal as an ally to my LGBTQ+ colleagues and loved ones. Happy Pride 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️

Pride for what exactly? No one seems to have an answer that makes any sense.

Such a pity that BP has, at the same time, ignored and alienated thousands of it's previously loyal employees, the BP Pensioners! Most of these BP Pensioners worked for BP for decades and still have difficulty in believing the way the Company has let them down. Unfortunately this has led to the formation of the BP Pensioner Group, headlines in the press and questions in Parliament - all of which have, so far, left BP unmoved. bpPensions

Good for you bp, you are only doing what you are supposed to do anyway, i.e. treating everyone fairly and respectfully. Yet you choose to blow your own self-promoting trumpet as usual, expecting applause from the audience, whilst you trample on your 58,000 pensioners. How can you preach inclusivity while you do this? Words are empty unless actions are in alignment. If you are a UK DB bp pensioner you will have lost 11% of the value of your pension since 2022 because bp rejected the cost-of-living pension increases you were promised. If you or anyone you know are affected.. family, colleagues, elderly neighbours.. you can find out more and join our Campaign Group here: bppensionergroup.org #BPPensions #ageism

I too celebrate the diversity of our LGBTQ colleagues and wish every person a happy Pride month, but for every day not just those we choose to highlight. But I struggle to see how bp tries to be selectively inclusive so as to create a perception of care and integrity. How you can claim to be an inclusive environment but deliberately seek harm of your older and former employees is a big question, harm through actions as well as behaviours. A question bp refuses to answer and as bp leaders keep telling us actions speak louder than words, what does that say to you? So I hope that bp leaders all start to stand up and call out all behaviours that are non-inclusive and harmful. For until then bp is not there in its journey. #bp #BPpensions #PrideMonth #codeofconduct

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails... And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the GREATEST OF THESE IS LOVE !!!" 1 Cor. Ch.13. So, doesn't matter who we are - homos, bis, heteros, lesbs... We are humans !!! Probably, not perfect, but humans !.. With our feelings, hopes, trusts, believes, pains, mistakes... No one is perfect... So, your sexual orientation is nothing, but your inner content is EVERYTHING !!! Your attitude, your bahaviour, your actions tell more than your sexual orientation ! So, stay humans, stay patient, stay pure !!! BP, thank you for your initiatives ! Respect !👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

Looking at the bp Rainbow washed logo I would say that this appears to be an accurate representation of the company's approach to DE&I. It is clearly temporary, it has been done as a self-promoting PR stunt. the diverse elements are segregated and they remain on the outside in their own "safe space" rather than being included in the main core. #BPpensions 🌈 #RainbowWashing #Pride #BPpride #Ageism
