𝐈𝐝𝐚𝐡𝐨 𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝟒𝟖 𝐎𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬: $𝟐𝟐 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐈𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐭𝐡   Food industry redistributor Dot Foods Inc. announced a $22 million investment for expanding its distribution center in Burley, Idaho. The expansion, slated for completion by summer 2025, will add 67,000 square feet to accommodate increased product handling capacity, catering to its west coast business.   Key features of the expansion include 24,400 square feet of frozen warehouse space, 8,700 square feet of cooler space, 14,700 square feet to the dry warehouse, and 19,000 square feet of cold and dry dock space, along with 15 new dock doors. The artisan bakery "Der Beck" from Erlangen, is one of the largest branch bakeries in Germany. In March, the picking system was converted to Pcdata. A joint project team from Der Beck and Pcdata first analyzed the previous processes in detail and developed a completely new dispatching concept. The picking is now divided into several picking areas, which are fed from central pre-dispatching stations. TV screens above the individual areas inform the pickers live about the current status of dispatching. Logistics Manager Sergius Trautmann from Der Beck reports "the extensive preparation has paid off...we've never had such peace and quiet in dispatch before.
