When are we going to get some sweet, sweet DCT guidance? Anyone know? It's been a hot minute. #clinicaltrials #clinicalresearch
Hi Brad Hightower, after being part of Science 37 for 5 years when we were pioneering on full DCT and Hybrid approaches and then THREAD for 3 years, I can give the highlights of using DCT in different settings and study designs, and what the current landscape looks like to get the best out of it. I was directly involved in this as a PM and Dir and seeing this first hand. We can set some time and chat if you are interested. Let me know. Thanks
Guidance will probably not come in the short run. The authorities have already provided guidance- the same basic scientific principles apply whether on site or off site. It’s more on how the industry and academia can reinvent and come up with more plausible solutions with e.g. single sign on and same/similar user interface making it patient and site centric.
I think everyone has moved on to the next buzz topic, "Gen AI."
Brad, you crack me up.
Pure Meme Gold! One of your best yet.

3wDo you think we need more? I believe you and I agree that what we need most right now are: - Protocols that leverage "DCT tech" in a meaningful way, vs. using it just to use it. E.g. using eConsent to better educate and inform, and allow remote consent vs. just replacing paper at the site - Tech that works (duh) - Sensible approaches to making trials more Hybrid, e.g. incorporating Televisits where possible (giving the site the OPTION to choose the TV approach for specific visits (not enforcing it). - It not being an additional burden on patients or sites ...
